1)If you could repost some of your other comments on this topic here, I would appreciate it.

2)I don’t doubt that Mellissa Smith is a black person. She has written some stories about encountering racism which have the ring of truth to me. I think she underestimates the impact of racism in many situations, but I’ve noticed that this is a strategy used by a lot of black writers I read. They figure it’s best not to sweat the small stuff, and get on with their life as best they can. Other black writers say that if you try to ignore them the little pin pricks turn into long-term agonies, so you need to be aware of them and let yourself be angry. Because I’m not black myself, I have no way of judging which of these strategies works more effectively. My writing about racial issues is just a form of literary criticism. I study what lots of different black writers say, and try to see some patterns in it so I can decrease my chances of committing micro aggressions. I draw the line at people like Candace Owens, whom I think is just saying what she thinks white people want to hear. But I try to read as many different honest opinions as I can. If Mellissa describes an action as racist, it’s a safe guess that pretty much any black person would see it that way.

3)That list was only a partial list of my sources, and you weren’t mentioned only because I compiled it hastily, and didn’t want to make it too long. You are definitely on the complete version of that list. I read at least one of your articles a week. I like that we share an appreciation of logic, and I find your photos to be compelling and vivid. I’m going to add your name as soon as I finish posting this.
