Great article. I would add that further opportunities were created by the United States’ boneheaded decision to cut back funding for colleges and raise their tuition. This meant that the vast majority of Americans couldn’t afford to go to college without going deeply into debt. that meant that all of these positions had to be filled by people who were able to get an affordable education elsewhere.
