Have you read black rednecks and white liberals, by Thomas Sowell? I just finished it, and it was much better than I expected it to be. He is a first rate scholar, and his positions are all well supported. I still think he's wrong about a lot of things, but he's definitely worth reading. He agrees with a lot of what you're saying, but I think you also have some significant disagreements with each other.
