There are ways of identifying false rape accusations, so we are not morally obligated to believe all women. This story was written some years ago, so it obviously wasn’t written by someone trying to fit the data to Tara Reade. The main point of the story is that we don't have to worry about women who lie about sexual assault, because very few people make false rape accusations, and those that do are easily identified. Tara Reade fits the profile of a false rape accuser.

1) "adult false accusers who persist in pursuing charges have a previous history of bizarre fabrications or criminal fraud. . ."

Tara Reade has a history pof bilking people out of money by telling convincing lies.

2) "These accusers often compulsively change their stories, adding dramatic details without regard either for the account they originally gave or the physical evidence."

a lot of people said in defense of Tara Reid that rape victims must sometimes fail to disclose the more disturbing aspects of their assault. That seems plausible, but according to this author, who has actually researched the subject, it is not true. Assault victims tell the worst part first, and later testimony reveals relatively trivial details.
