I don't know where you got the idea that I have only one publication on medium. I have five partner publications, and 115 comments. When I wrote the article on statues, it was a very pressing issue, because during the George Floyd demonstrations, people were tearing down not only statues of Confederates (which I enthusiasticly support) but also statues of Grant and Lincoln.

I was making two points in my response, one of which you ignored. You addressed my point that people have to be judged by the standards of the time. But I also said that even if people have done bad things by the standards of their own time, they still should be admired for the good things they did. Cheating on your spouse was wrong by the standards of Martin Luther King's and Malcolm X's time, but they were still admirable heroes even if they did it. (The "If" is important here. The evidence against Malcolm on this issue looks fairly weak to me.)
