I don’t think she went into this field as a way of cashing in on the big bucks. She was writing and doing workshops years before these questions were trendy. That doesn’t excuse or justify the impact of what she is doing. As Shaw said, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, whether it’s your hell or one you’re creating for someone else.
Anyone who is successful at anything will probably receive money and/or fame for it eventually. But there’s no way of determining whether that success was motivated by the money/fame or some other goal. When two different motivators for a behavior are present, there’s no way of telling which one actually caused the behavior. It’s kind of like trying to figure out whether someone is racist or not.
