I had never heard this name for it, but I have the same condition. It has its advantages. I don't have to form my thoughts into words, because they already are words. I am very sensitive to nuances in voice tones and other sounds, which is probably why I became a musician. But It also made me very bad at math, which was a problem when I had to teach logic for a living. I developed some strategies to teach my logic students how to think in images, which were very successful.
