I have been watching stories about white guys for decades, and frankly I'm tired of them. There's only so much you can say about being a white guy, and most of it has been said. (By this I mean stories that are ONLY about white guys, that erase everyone else. Very little has been said about what it is like to be a white guy interacting with other groups, and most of that cluelessly follows the white savior stereotype).
Whatever I see a story about a marginalized group, I know that there will be something fresh about it, because there is so much that hasn't yet been said. So thanks for the recommendation, I will check this one out.
