I intended the term to be derogatory. Geert Wilders is a genuinely evil man, who uses techniques very similar to Adolf Hitler’s to stir up hatred that incites violence against innocent Muslims. I don’t consider Harris to be evil, but he does rely heavily on the fallacy of cherry-picking. In plain language, he focuses entirely on the bad stuff, ignores the good stuff, and then gets credit for being knowledgeable and reasonable because he can recite so many facts. His ignoring of the social context of the times, which I described in this article, is just one example of this kind of cherry-picking. As you point out, he does this with other religions as well, but this is especially egregious when he writes about Islam.
