I know I wasn't invited to this discussion, and I'm sorry if I'm intruding.

(I refer to them as my tribe often, but those u…hough, since this sort of labeling is just as important, which is why I’m calling myself out today. I’m ok with still using the word when speaking about my tribe of writers or even when talking about my close friends and family (I refer to them as my tribe often, but those uses have a different context). Language matters and any language that divides and degrades Black people is a no for me. Period.
