If Spotify is “struggling“, where is the money going? We artists are now making 100th of the profits we used to make from CD sales, and Spotify doesn’t even have to print physical product in order to get music to people. My guess is that the money paying the salaries of the top Spotify executives is not counted as profit. Pay them less, and they’ll be plenty of leftover money to pay both artists and investors.
