I agree with you that if anybody is actually in favor of cutting down the tall stalks that would be a terrible and dangerous idea, My objection is that nobody with any political power in this country actually believes in that and by implying that they are, you are enabling Trump. I’ve had quite a few online discussions with Trump-sympathetic people who do something very similar to what you were doing with both Harris and Walz: grabbing one sentence out of context and spinning an elaborate fantasy that supposedly proves that they are both Marxists. I’m sorry, but I don’t have the patience to be tolerant of that sort of speculation when there is so much at stake. I’m a lot more worried about Trump’s repeated and very explicit statements that he will hang on to power and abolish democracy.
