Interesting. What were the dates on those two periods of Islamic rule in Spain? I know the Christian persecution started sometime after 1492. as I understand this, both religions had periods of tolerance and intolerance. for Christianity, force conversion was the rule, and tolerance was the exception. For Islam it was pretty much the other way around.
