It seems to me equally likely that someone on the right would complain about this activity because…

…ies and differences is one very common and effective way to promote critical thinking for students. However, these two parents complained that the activity was racist because “how dare you compare the conditions of women in Jamestown to Africans, as though they are equal?” Ummm…I think that’s where the contrasting comes in.

It seems to me equally likely that someone on the right would complain about this activity because it over states the impact of sexism. The fact of the matter is both sides of the political spectrum make the same kinds of judgments, and end up censoring the lessons of teachers in the name of “freedom“.
