It's remarkably like the bitter conflict between The "Judean People's Front" and "the People's Front of Judea" in The Monty Python movie "LIfe of Brian".
I think the motivation behind these Woke taboos is never intrinsic to the words themselves. It's based on the history of how those terms were used. There is nothing intrinsically offensive about the N-word. it gets its power from who used it, and what they were doing to black people when they said it. I think that is a legitimate reason for banning it. But I also think banning words has only a limited benefit and often does more harm than good.
