Kanye should be treated the same way as any person who has done both good and bad things. We must be honest about the existence of the bad things, but continue to honor and respect him for the good things. The same principle should be applied to the great people of the past, like Washington, Jefferson and Muhammad. They have a somewhat better excuse for their bad behavior, as they were men of a different time, who are honored today because occasionally they rose above their times. But even for a contemporary flawed hero like Kanye, we must not let his flaws blind us to his accomplishments.
