Much of what you say here is true, except for your preposterous and unfootnoted claim that he only went to war when attacked. But if you apply the criteria to him that you applied to Gandhi, Churchill etc., you won’t be able to acknowledge his accomplishments. When the leader of one of his vassal tribes refused to send him troops, Genghis Khan massacred the entire tribe. He didn’t just let them die, the way Churchill did in India when he needed resources to fight the Nazis. Genghis Khan deliberately put thousands of people to the sword-men women and children- because he was personally mad at their leader. Call me crazy, but I think that’s a lot worse than making out in front of your daughter. There’s also DNA evidence throughout Europe that Genghis Khan raped thousands of women. If we are going to acknowledge his accomplishments in spite of these atrocities, we have to do the same thing for Churchill, Picasso, and Steve Jobs.
