My dismissal of Owens is not based on some abstract principle. It’s based on the fact that I have read some of her columns, and they are full of red herrings, non sequiturs, and cherry picking. It’s also based on the fact that she works with Fox News, who have a long history of blatant disregard for the truth.

Thomas Sowell is very different. He is a serious thinker, although I disagree with him a lot. I do read him, and his works are part of the database I use to get a broader picture of the black perspective.
