Nate Parker, who is one of the finest black filmmakers of his generation, had his career destroyed because of something that happened in college. He persuaded a woman to have group sex with him and a friend, and she deeply regretted doing it afterwards. A hearing cleared him of all wrong doing, but many people boycotted his film Birth of a Nation -- a deeply moving retelling of the story of the Nat Turner rebellion. He will probably never make another film.
