Dawkin's response is basically an ad hominem argument. I find Craig's comments in that link to be utterly abhorrent. But Dawkins says nothing about Craig's arguments, just that Craig is a nasty guy so I won't debate him. Craig frequently makes a fool of himself when trying to justify some of the idiocies and Barbarisms of the Bible. But when it comes to a simple debate on atheism versus theism, Craig could definitely whip Dawkins' ass, and Dawkins knows it . Dawkins is a kind of genius, and his philosophical/scientific musings on Darwin are profound and important. Although he would never admit it, he has a real primitive gift for Theology. But he is shockingly ignorant about what everyone else has said about the subject. How can he not be when his position is "I'm not going to read what anybody else says , but I'm going to criticize them anyway".

I taught a course on philosophy of religion, and used a chapter from one of Craig's books. But I could find nothing in the God Delusion that deserved that kind of attention. If you want to find something worth reading from an atheist, read John Shook's The God Debates.
