suppose you saw a paragraph like this in another medium article. Would you be OK with it?

I want learn more about the Ku Klux Klan. I want to learn more about why some of these mainly men I see have these types of beliefs. I want to know why they are convinced they are who they say they are. I want to know if my previous shrugging and ignoring of them that I have done in the past has been valid or have I missed pieces that might make the passionate, hard hitting White men who dress in elaborate gear and who read about the evils of the world we inhabit make sense. If they have something that maybe I should hear. I am always willing to listen and learn. And other people are as well. That shouldn’t automatically make them a bigot.
