I don’t think your corollary necessarily follows from Tim’s position. Tim could say that morality will always be evolving, but that its possible perfection is always before us. He could admit that he personally and modern society in general are still imperfect, but we can still see the direction it needs to go. No one will ever draw a perfectly straight line, but we still have a concept to show us what direction we have to go to make our crooked lines straighter. from my experience, Tim is more likely to criticize himself them to claim moral perfection. Whenever I’ve interacted with Tim, he is usually open to changing his mind in response to a decent argument.
