The idea of religious tolerance means merely that the government must tolerate all religions, and not ban any of them. It has nothing to do with permitting individuals to personally dislike or like certain religions.

Not tolerating intolerance just means your right to swing your fist ends where my nose begins. We do need courts to decide exactly how to cash out this metaphor, but it can be done, and has been done for centuries
