The San Francisco Mime Troupe wrote and performed a show called "I ain't yo Uncle", which used Stowe's original text interspersed with modern commentary spoken by the characters. Uncle Tom was portrayed as a tough pragmatic survivor. It was one of the best shows they ever did. I don't know if the the script is available any where.
