“There are a lot of people that are afraid, afraid of being Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country, so often subjected to violence,”

Your interpretation of this passage is pretty much how everybody interpreted it, which is why she lost her agent. But nowhere in this passage, is she saying that Jews deserve to have this happen to them. she’s just saying that they are experiencing the same thing that Muslims are experiencing. Later on in fact, she tried to clarify her point, and said that Muslims shouldn’t have to experience this either. she saying that this is the case, but nowhere is she saying that it ought to be the case. It’s almost the same thing that happened with John Lennon when he said that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus. People thought he was saying that they deserve to be more popular in Jesus, but he was actually saying that he was disgusted by this state of affairs.
