there is a widely circulated statistic which says that in a recent year, there were only about 13 deaths of Black people caused by police. That however only counts the number of unarmed black people killed by police. The number of armed Black people killed by police is in the hundreds. That statistic could be used to support two contradictory courses of action. 1) Black people need guns to protect themselves from the police. 2) carrying a gun greatly increases your chances of getting shot.
