There's no native American Pope. If you want to call yourself Two spirit, or commune with a Spirit Animal, do it. Most of the people who say you can't do these things are usually White Woke people with savior complexes, like the people who coined the word "Latinx". On a similar issue, Most Native Americans prefer to call themselves Indians. The only reason I don't do it is because I spend a lot of time with South Asians, who also call themselves Indians, and I need to avoid the resulting confusion.
