They're good at recognizing the evils of their pre-revolutionary past. In this way, they are like Americans who will enthusiastically condemn the colonial government of the British. But they are in complete denial about the atrocities their current Government has committed, and continues to commit, against the Uigurs and the Tibetans. I know because I have talked to Chinese people about this, and I get the standard government propaganda from them.
