This argument is simply a further fleshing out of the last line of my comment "It is also a morally legitimate imperative. If they had to do it, there is no reason we shouldn't have to do it.". All you are doing is explaining why it is a morally legitimate complaint. And for what it's worth, I agree with all of your reasons. The only thing I really disagree with is your belief that we can achieve all you are striving for while ignoring race or gender. Yes we are each individuals, but each of us has had to relate to our backgrounds in our own ways, and none of us can be understood without taking those backgrounds into consideration. And this is especially true when we are dealing with the interactions between privileged and marginalized people. We have different kinds of "common sense" and these kinds of communications are especially necessary now that the traditional borders between the marginalized and the privileged are breaking down. All I am saying is that there are both altruistic and selfish reasons for doing this.
