This is all about gasoline prices. That's it. It's a trade off mad necessary by the boycott on Russian Oil, which is necessary to save the Ukriane. That's what people with actual power do in a Democracy. Compromise to acheive what is possible. Then the purists who have never had any actual power accuse them of being sell outs.

Take a look at the bills Biden has tried to pass, and you'll see they are way to the left of the Clintons, and way to the left of any Democratic President since Roosevelt. They didn't get through because of Biden's razor thin majority in the Senate, which is so thin because of Riots in Portland and Woke Dictionary games. The Republicans have used this tactic against the left for ages. Block everything a progressive candidate wants to do, and the Useful Idiots on the left will say "This guy is no better than the Republicans". It's working again.
