This is one of the weirdest arguments I have ever seen. I’ve heard people say that the Twitter mob that deluged Chapelle’s friend Daphne Dorman weren’t responsible for her death because she had other emotional and personal problems. But I’ve never seen anyone admit that this mob drove her to suicide, then conclude that Chapelle should be blamed for this. Apparently Chapelle should never tell any Trans jokes because if he did, Dorman would defend him, then be driven to suicide by a Twitter mob. And this chain of events is all Chapelle’s fault, not the fault of the people who told Dorman to kill herself. That argument is so strange I can’t even think of an analogy for it.
